Akemtum–the Poison maniac

Published On: February 15, 2023

Akemtum is a void epic champion from the Skinwalker faction in Raid: Shadow Legends. Akemtum is a relatively new champion in Raid, and he arrives at the world of Teleria with a bang or may I say poisoned Hex! Akemtum is great work against the Clan Boss as your poisoner and that aura is very hand to help you go faster, but can he be used elsewhere in the game? My answer is yes! And here is why!

Akemtum’s skill set

A1 Noxious Claws

Attacks 1 enemy 3 times. Each hit has a 40% (books to 50%) chance of placing a 5% [Poison] debuff for 2 turns. If the target is under a [Hex] debuff, each hit also has a 40% (Books to 50%) chance of applying a [Debuff Spread] effect, taking 1 random debuff from the target and placing it on all enemies.

A2 Immortal Malison – 5 Turn Cooldown (Books to a 3-turn cooldown)

Attacks all enemies 3 times. Each hit has a 60% (Books to 75%) chance of increasing the duration of any [Hex] debuffs on enemies by 1 turn. If enemies are not under a [Hex] debuff, each hit has a 60% (Books to 75%) chance of placing a [Hex] debuff for 2 turns.

Passive Hex Blood

Has an 80% (Books to 100%) chance of inflicting damage from one [Poison] debuff to enemies under a [Hex] debuff whenever their allies receive damage from [Poison] Debuffs.

Aura

Increases Ally SPD in all battles by 18%

Skill Breakdown

Poisons are the name of the game with Akemtum, who attacks 3 times on the A1 with a 50% chance of placing a Poison debuff. What makes Akemtum unique is his ability to place and interact with Hex debuff. His A2 attacks all enemies 3 times (double, triple hit making Giant Slayer a great mastery choice), with each hit having a chance to either increase the duration of Hex or instead place it for 2 turns. When Akemtum then attacks a Hex target with his A1, each hit will have a chance to spread 1 random debuff to all enemies. Akemtum also brings a unique passive that causes a poison debuff to damage any enemy under a Hex debuff. The passive might be meta defining in some dungeon teams.

Where to use him?

Akemtum is a PVE God, with the arena being the only place you would not use him. Akemtum, with the combination of Hex and poisons can come into any of your teams as your passive damage dealer and do a ton of work for you with Dragon, Ice Golem and Clan boss being the standout area’s he will excel.

Conclusion

Akemtum is a great passive damage dealer, and you will not be disappointed if you get him. His aura is an underrated part of his kit, it can help you if you are early game to go that little faster.
