Trumborr – the Clan Boss Maestro

Published On: March 1, 2023

Trumborr is a Spirit affinity epic champion from the Orc Faction in Raid: Shadow Legends. Trumborr is one of the newer champions to arrive in the world of Teleria and With Axe and Shield and a Crown fashioned from the skulls of his fallen foes, Trumborr joins the Orcs as their battlefield general seeking to conquer all of Teleria. His Skill set looks interesting but how good is it? In this spotlight we are going to find out is Trumborr the Maestro of Raid or does he hit a bum note?

Trumborr’s Skill Set

A1 Double Whammy

Attacks 1 enemy 2 times. The first hit has a 30% (Books to 40%) chance of placing a 25% [Weaken] debuff for 2 turns. The second hit has a 30% (Books to 40%) chance of placing a [Leech] debuff for 2 turns.

A2 Vigor Explosion – 4 Turn Cooldown (Books to a 3-turn)

Removes 1 random debuff from all allies before attacking. Damage increases by 5% for each debuff removed.

A3 Wall of Muscle – 6 Turn Cooldown (Books to a 4-turn)

Places a 60% [Increase DEF] buff on this champion for 2 turns.

Passive Shrug Off

Whenever this Champion is attacked, has a 20% Books to 40%chance of decreasing the duration of all debuffs on this Champion by 1 turn.

Skill Set Breakdown

Trumborr is very much a support champion with a potential for a big smack with his skills. His A1 brings a double hitter with the first having a chance to land weaken and the second landing leech. These two debuffs are huge for Clan Boss. His A2 has the potential to be an absolute nuke of an AOE hit but who wants debuffs on your team! He removes them, and this can be used as a stun cleanse in Clan Boss and can be very useful against the frost spider and nether spider. The A3 is where the main event is. He places an increase defence on himself then places a 50% ally protection buff on all Allies for 2 turns. And the passive is very nice as a self-preservation tool.

Where to use Trumborr

If you need an Ally Protector in the early to mid game, then Trumborr may be a great option for your team. He brings a 4-turn cooldown 2 turn ally protection (so you will need to run him 4:3 in your clan boss team) alongside an A2 that can remove debuffs. This allows you to deal with many early game affinity issues that your limited roster may have. His A1 brings Leech, which helps you to build your champions as you don’t require Lifesteal artifact sets alongside a Weaken to increase your damage output. Finally, he has a passive that’ll reduce debuffs on himself if he is attacked with a 40% chance.

Conclusion

Trumborr is a defensive based, so he is easy to keep alive but may fall behind some better champions as you progress through the game. He will have a role for you in Clan Boss, Faction Wars and He can play a big role in one of your Hydra teams helping to keep your team alive and debuff free alongside some usages against Doom Tower Bosses that pump out debuffs. Overall Trumborr is a good epic champion you will not be sorry for bringing to 60. Build him with good speed, and plenty of accuracy and survivability.

Trumborr is a great champ for me. He looks really great and helps me also in other contents to keep my champs alive.
He helps me to easy 2-key nm cb. in my opinion the a1 is a but unreliable to keep the squad alive with the leech only so you need a bit of extra healing, if you use the a2 its even more unreliable due to the low procc chance (i have brogni and tuhanarak in the team to make the run affinity frendly.
the only problem i have is the tuning of his 4:3 ratio into the team that could run faste rthan 1:1. when i try to use the extend skill from my corvis ( to extend his Ally prot and tuhanaraks speed buff ) it messes up the complete run and i am not able to fin the correct speeds. has anyone an idea how to fix this?
