Important Considerations

Double Demytha’s Double the fun! Block damage or cleanse the stun!

Unfortunately this is NOT affinity friendly natively: to be affinity friendly for spirit affinity you need to bring in a cleanser (doompriest/tuhanarak) or debuff blocker (on a 3 turn cooldown). To use a cleanser on UNM you need the Demytha’s to be at least 259.83 true speed. On NM all the DPS must be faster than 161.43.

To use a cleanser for Spirit affinity all DPS must be at least 165.16 speed.

The video has explicit instructions for managing either scenario as they each take some tweaking of skill timing.

Works for both UNM and NM.

  • ALL SPEEDS LISTED ARE TRUE SPEEDS.
  • Speeds listed exclude any speed aura. If you use an aura you should reduce your build speed accordingly.
  • Use the calculator to find the build speed and take into account any Area Bonuses your account may have.

Full Speed Ranges:

As with nearly every Speed Tune, there are more speeds that will work than are listed, but these are the ones tested that work best and most consistently for the approved difficulties and affinities.  Generally changing the speeds of one champion can change the speeds needed of other champions.  Feel free to play around in the calculator to find what works best for your team.

  • 260-264 Demytha (Fast)
  • 260-264 Demytha (Slow)
  • 162-167 Cleanser/DPS
  • 162-167 DPS
  • 162-167 Debuff Blocker/DPS

Speed for Razz and Seeker are extremely tight, so plan accordingly.  Set will matter.
For Brutal Difficulty the setup changes.

Speed Tune Sync:

  • UNM tune will sync on turn count 2
  • NM tune will sync on turn count 3

Skill Set Up:

  • UNM:
    • For full auto setup Demytha (slow) should open a1, then a3, then a2. Demytha (fast) should open a3, then a2.
    • The full auto setup will not cleanse the stun on the Cleanser/DPS slot.
    • For setup to cleanse the stun regardless of which DPS it hits Demytha (slow) should open a2, then a3.  Demytha (fast) should open a3, then a1, then a2 – This MUST be manualed!
    • In Demytha cannot take the stun when using a cleanser or 1 turn Debuff Blocker.
  • NM:
    • For full auto setup Demytha (slow) should open a1, then a3, then a2. Demytha (fast) should open a3, then a2.
    • The full auto setup will not cleanse the stun on the Cleanser/DPS slot.
    • For setup to cleanse the stun regardless of which DPS it hits Demytha (slow) should open a3, then a1, then a2 – This MUST be manualed! – Demytha (fast) should open a1, then a2, then a3.
    • In Cleanser setup Demytha can take the stun, but cannot if using a 1 turn Debuff Blocker.

Gear, Masteries, Blessings:

  • Gear
    • Any sets that don’t affect turn meter or skill timing for the key players (Demytha, Cleanser, Debuff Blocker).  No relentless.
  • Masteries
    • Stick to typical Masteries that won’t affect Turn Meter or skill timing.
    • Demytha Specific:  Steadfast Mastery is recommended to help avoid taking the stun.
  • Blessings
    • Stick to typical Clan Boss Blessings.

Other Notes:

Be VERY careful utilizing Debuff Blockers for this team.  Additional buffs (like Increase Defense and Reflect Damage) can ruin stun targeting, as the clan boss likes to avoid those buffs, if they aren’t on everyone when the stun comes.  Even a 2 turn Block Debuff (or Increase Defense buff) can fall off of the Demytha’s if skill timing isn’t ideal.  If using a Block Debuff champ that does bring those additional buffs, it’s crucial to use the full auto setups (where the buff extension of Demytha happens in the middle of the turn order) and that should ensure the proper buffs are extended to cover everyone.  The Clan Boss doesn’t care about Block Debuffs when choosing stun targets, so even a 1 Turn Block Debuff can work as long as the stun goes to the covered DPS – you just have to ensure that the other buffs (Increase Defense/Reflect Damage) are on everyone or the Clan Boss will target those without it.
Demytha Specific:  Ideal timing has Demytha a2 happening at the top of each turn, but there’s no way to pre-set skills for full auto in those scenarios.  It can be manualed, which would allow Demytha to cleanse the stun negating the need to bring in a cleanser for that specific job.  This also opens up the ability to utilize additional cleansers besides doompriest (as long as it’s on a 3 turn cooldown) for the affinity debuffs.
