Once again, the entire episode is narrated by the Arbiter from beginning to end. A copy of her narration is provided below.

The episode starts with the familiar intro, with the Arbiter calling out to Elhain. It picks up where the previous episode left off, with Elhain and Kael facing each other after their intense battle. The story then takes us back to a flashback just before the Conclave of the Elves.

Elhain observes Kael through a window as the Dark Elves arrive. Queen Eva stands by her side, and Elhain is sent off to aid a group of High Elves who are engaged in a different battle against the Demonspawn. Though she looks conflicted about leaving, Elhain arrives just in time to rescue the outnumbered High Elves from an ambush led by Mortu-Macaab. Despite her victory, she appears heartbroken.

We return to Queen Eva’s castle, where Elhain is crowned The Princess Regent and Commander of the High Elf Elite Guard. However, she seems less joyous about the promotion than expected.

After some time, Elhain returns to the cave only to find it in ruins. She clutches her necklace, yearning for Kael, and stumbles upon Kael’s discarded necklace on the ground, further deepening her pain.

The story shifts back to Kael and Elhain’s reunion, both preparing to fight once more. However, after Kael pushes her away, Elhain lowers her bow, unwilling to harm him. Kael is joined by the Dark Elf team he led into the castle in the previous episode, and orders are given to capture Elhain. In a gesture reminiscent of Galek, Kael sacrifices some of his squad members to save Elhain before they fight together, side by side.

Embracing Elhain, Kael faces a group of High Elf Guards at the doorway. Elhain performs a room-sealing incantation, which Kael joins to fortify. As they struggle to hold on, a wave of blue light appears and knocks out the guards. They turn around to find the Arbiter floating above them. The Arbiter reaches out to them, saying, “Come, elves, you are needed.” Kael and Elhain join hands and walk into the Arbiter’s light together.

Later, Queen Eva enters the room, discovering Elhain’s tiara on the ground. Looking up, she remarks, “It seems you have a higher calling.” The episode concludes here.

“For years, Kael had believed that Elhain had abandoned him. But the foundations upon which he had built his hatred would soon crumble. Elhain had eagerly looked forward to the conclave of the elves when she would see her beloved Kael.

But Queen Eva had need of Elhain. She had learned of an ambush. A contingent of High Elves was trapped and outnumbered. She would need her best warrior to turn the tide of a dire situation. Elhain’s heart and her duty were at war with each other.

The Dark Elves were not the only race to quarrel with the High Elves. The Demon Spawn made war at the edges of the Elven borders. Elhain longed to return to Kael, but it was not to be. The tale of Elhain’s legend grew.

Queen Eva named Elhain Princess Regent and Commander of the High Elf Elite guard. But her heart was broken. She attempted to reach out to him but she could no longer feel their connection. She could feel Kael’s pain.

They who truly love are not easily separated. What was lost had been found.”
