Occult Brawler – Best RAW Poisoner in the game!

Published On: November 20, 2022

Occult Brawler aka OB is an epic spirit champion from the Ogryn Tribe faction in Raid: Shadow legends. We consider OB being one of the best raw output poisoners in the game, he can easily fill a debuff bar himself! He is a great champion and in this spotlight, we will show you why!

Occult Brawler Skills:

Sorcerous Razor
Attacks 1 enemy. Has a 50% chance of placing a 5% [Poison] debuff for 2 turns.

Curse Eater – 4 Turn Cooldown
Attacks 1 enemy. This attack ignores 30% of enemy DEF if the champion is under 1 or more debuffs. If this champion is under 2 or more debuffs, they cannot revive enemies killed by this skill. This attack is always critical if the champion is under 3 debuffs. If this champion is under 4 or more debuffs, this champion heals by 30% of the damage inflicted. If this champion is under 5 or more debuffs, grants an Extra Turn. Removes all debuffs from this champion after the attack.

Passive – Ruination Ritual
Places a 2.5% Poison debuff on this champion for 4 turns at the start of each turn. Has a 70% chance of placing a 5% Poison debuff on a random enemy for 4 turns at the start of each turn.

Where to use Occult Brawler:

Simply put OB is a Clan Boss Specialist as he doesn’t have an effective use anywhere else in the game, except now with introducing the Iron Twins. OB is all about placing poisons on a single enemy and oh boy does he do it in droves. Poisons on his A1, poisons from his passive every single turn. You don’t really want to use his A2 as it has no real use against the Demon Lord. so, in the AI settings, turn it off and watch those poisons land on the clan boss.

Final Thoughts:

Occult Brawler is an amazing champion if he is your only poisoner for the clan boss. You can use him in Ice Golem and Dragon to help with taking down the boss, but he just brings nothing else to the fight and with so many better options out there for these dungeons with the likes of Kael and frozen banshee. Keep him in your Clan Boss team until you pull a champion like Dracomorph or Zavia.

Top Poisoner for the Boss. Started with three poisoners including OB, in the Easy Double Maneater comp. Against two Legendary poisoners, he did twice the damage and can keep the bar almost full by himself. So now I’m experimenting with different DSP to get more raw damage to add to his poison. Too many poisoners ruin the proverbial soup.
